SUMMARY:Danish Art Workshops - Selected Projects
DESCRIPTION:VERNISSAGE: 17 June\, 5pm – 7pm \nA joint exhibition in the largest art production residency of Denmark \nPart of 3daysofdesign\, 18 – 20 June 2025. Opening hours: 10am – 6pm \nSelected Projects is an exhibition platform in the largest production residency of Denmark. For 3daysofdesign\, the old warehouse transforms into a showroom for projects\, developed in the workshops. The displayed projects range widely in expression\, materials\, and artisanship. All are of the highest artistic quality\, carefully selected for their originality\, materiality\, and sustainability. \nThe exhibition design by Margrethe Odgaard and Rasmus Bækkel is based on hematite\, a natural mineral that has been used as a red color since the earliest cave paintings. From the simple cave paintings to today’s artistic practices\, the reddish-brown mineral bears witness to our eternal urge to leave traces\, create coherence\, and give shape to the world. \nThe Exhibitors are: \n\nAnna Bruun Kristiansen\nAnne Damgaard\nIben Høj\nJonas Trampedach\nIsabel Berglund\nMaria Bruun\nManuel Canu\nValerie Collart\nSara Martinsen\nNiels Hvass\n\nThe exhibitors will be available regularly. If you would like a private interview\, please contact Rebekka Lewin: rebekka@svfk.dk \nAbout the Exhibition Designers: \nTextile and Color Designer\, Margrethe Odgaard approach color as a rich sensory experience. By immersing herself in the intricate interplay of color\, material\, and light\, she seeks a deeper understanding of how we experience and emotionally connect with our physical surroundings. \nFurniture Designer\, Rasmus Bækkel takes a conceptual approach to his work. He considers art and design as equals but positioned at opposite ends of the scale\, and he systematically seeks to explore and challenge genre conditions and boundaries\, and view furniture pieces as functional sculptures. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to our exhibition! \nAddress: Strandgade 27B\, 1401 Copenhagen K\, www.test.svfk.dk\, @statensvaerksteder \nEvents in the Exhibition\n \n\nTalk: Margrethe Odgaard + Sara Martinsen\, 19 June 11.30am\nMeet Ten Designers in Thirty Minutes\, 19 June 1.30pm\nGuided Tour Around the Workshops\, 20 June at 11am + 1pm\n\n– \nSupported by:\nEge Carpets\nZurface\nJotun Color\nHAY\nKronenbourg 1664\nAugustinus Foundation\nLemvigh-Müller Foundation \n
